Tailor-Made, verifiable CPD to help dental practices be more successful -
AND boost the productivity, motivation and PRIDE of all team members
Rick Whitehead is the founder of Impetus Training and has been working with the dental profession for more than 20 years - practices, postgraduate and VT; and dealers and laboratories; and groups, eg: Cornwall Independent Dentists; and conferences, eg: ADAM and the Dental Hygienists Association.
He also strongly believes that team training should be an enjoyable and memorable experience for all concerned - and practices always feedback that they had a lot of fun - as well as learning! Rick has also written a range of books to help dental practices: "Leadership in the Dental Practice", "Janus Creative Planning for AMBITIOUS Dental Professionals", "Share Care Communicate", "A Little Book of Epigrams" and "Helping Patients to Buy" - the ultimate reference book on Ethical Selling. For details of his reference books please see our Reference Books page.
Go to www.impetustraining.co.uk for a full background of all the things Rick and his team get up to. Rick can draw from a pool of enthusiastic professionals to help him with dental assignments whenever he needs to (and they are always keen to help because they know how much fun and how satisfying it is working with dental practice teams!)
Please don't hesitate to telephone Rick on 01494 589 889 or 07831 345 373 to talk through what they may be able to do for your practice
He has worked with the Scapa Dental Centre, on Orkney (catch a ferry from John O'Groats!) two VT Conferences for NICPMDE on Lusty Beg Island in Northern Ireland; no less than 5 Teambuilding days, over a period of 10 years for Meneage Dental in Cornwall; and well over 100 other practices in all corners of the UK.
As a result of all this experience he knows a bit about how to maximise success in a dental practice! But he thinks his MAJOR strength is his enthusiasm - he believes very strongly that a dental practice SHOULD be a rewarding and fulfilling place of work and that TEAMWORK is possibly the second most important factor (after clinical excellence) in caring for patients and smooth running of a practice.
Please see our Happy Practices page for contact details of a selection of practices he has worked with.
His main "partner in crime" in the dental profession though, is Cheryl Winter and it's welcome back to Cheryl, who worked with Impetus for 5 years until 2014. She then developed her career as a Director of a Social Enterprise specialising in neurodiversity before succumbing to Rick's overtures to return. She is a highly experienced coach and group facilitator and is ILM Qualified, NLP Master Practitioner and Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
Cheryl and Rick are a particularly effective partnership (guess who is the "good cop"?) when working together on Leadership and Teambuilding assignments, where delegates learn by DOING - and ENJOYING THEMSELVES.
