Who Should Attend

team members who attend can be from any role; a mix of roles is beneficial eg a dentist learning how she/he is perceived by other members of the team; and all developing insight into others' roles

  • each delegate will leave with practical advice on WHAT TO DO to be more successful and fulfilled

  • team members develop relationships and learn to see themselves as OTHERS see them

  • they keep their "Little Book" for continuous reference

HOW the Module Works

  • delegates work individually to read through all the epigrams and note ones they believe are most relevant/stimulating to them

  • they then discuss in pairs their choices and advise each other

  • we then hold a "group therapy" session with all contributing

  • much laughter and "serious FUN"!

An Example 2 hour Agenda

  • introductions, CPD Objectives, H&S, programme content and style

  • round table “group therapy” with input from tutors on HOW to deliver improvement - WHAT TO DO

  • delegates work in pairs to discuss and agree a prority section each and then, still in pairs, choose 1 or 2 epigrams most relevant to them to announce to the group and explain why

Assuming 6 delegates, a dentist, a manager, 3 nurses and a receptionist.

(All workshops are tailor-made after consultation with practice leadership)

  • issue of Little Books, introduction to each section (see Personal Growth) discussion for understanding on how to USE the book

  • a lecture on section 2, "Managing Your Comfort Zone", with discussions for agreement that everyone has potential to improve

  • as time allows, this process is repeated (in different pairs based on the “compatibility” identified by chosen epigrams)
